TawakCool Adventures is thrilled to offer an exclusive 5-day family residential at YHA Conwy where we’ve secured the entire building just for you! This ensures a fully halal, comfortable, and family-friendly environment tailored to the needs of our Muslim community. 

With our carefully crafted itinerary, we aim to give you an opportunity to:

• explore Snowdonia National Park, which is a renowned destination known for its breath-taking landscapes, featuring rugged mountains, serene lakes, and diverse wildlife, making it a prime spot for hiking, adventure sports, and nature exploration.
• try exciting, family friendly winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and tubing, which are accessible to all skill levels
• experience adrenaline thrills with Go Below Adventure Challenge or Zip World for the whole family
• connect with like minded families and have fun time together

🌟 Provisional Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Conwy Exploration (Wednesday, December 25th)
Afternoon: Explore the charming town of Conwy: stroll along the historic Town Walls, take in the views of Conwy Castle, and visit unique spots like Britain’s Smallest House.
Evening: Check in  and group icebreakers to get acquainted over dinner.

Day 2: Snowdonia Adventure (Thursday, December 26th)
Morning: Head into Snowdonia National Park. Choose from two options:

• For Adventurers: Take the Miner’s Track to the summit of Mount Snowdon (weather permitting).
• Family-Friendly Option: Enjoy the scenic Pen-y-Pass walk and visit Betws-y-Coed, one of the prettiest villages in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Evening: Relax with stargazing and unwind back at the hostel.

Day 3: Llandudno & Ski Centre (Friday, December 27th)
Morning: Scenic drive along famous Marine Drive, followed by a relaxed exploration of Llandudno’s charming promenade and beach.
Afternoon: Visit Llandudno Ski & Snowboard Centre for tubing and tobogganing fun, plus ski lessons for the whole family!
Evening: Campfire, marshmallow roasting, and social time back at YHA.

Day 4: Adrenaline Adventures and Waterfalls (Saturday, December 28th)
Morning: Choose between heart-racing thrills at Go Below Adventure Challenge or Zip World for all ages
Afternoon: A calming family walk to Swallow Falls

Evening: Family quiz night and winding down.

Day 5: Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Departure (Sunday, December 29th)
Morning: Check out YHA Conwy and visit the impressive Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Enjoy canal boat rides or a gentle walk along this iconic structure.
Afternoon: Lunch and a relaxed return home, ending a memorable family trip with nature, adventure, and connection.

FAQs

1. How do we get there?

Families make their own way either via private or public transport. Some choose to go by train to Manchester and hire a car there. You will  require transportation during the residential to get to places.  Car sharing options might be explored once we open a dedicated WhatsApp group for those who sign up.

3. What is the accommodation like?

Our accommodation is hostel-style. Each private  room features comfortable bunk beds and en-suite facilities. Shared spaces include a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, dining areas, and a lounge. The entire building is exclusively hired by TawakCool Adventures, ensuring that all facilities are used just by our group. Bed linen is provided.

4. What about meals?

Our residential is self-catering, providing flexibility for families to manage their own meals. Here are some convenient options to make food arrangements easy and enjoyable:

(a) Pre-cook at Home: You can prepare meals at home, freeze them, and bring them to the centre. There are  fridge/freezer facilities on-site to store your food, which can be reheated whenever needed.

(b) Cook at the Centre: The centre features a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils, crockery, and cutlery. Just bring your groceries, and you can cook meals on-site. Feel free to share cooking duties or meals with friends and families joining us.

(c) Eat Out or Order In: You can also dine out or order food from local halal restaurants and takeaways. There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby for ready-made or easily prepared food options.
