Hatfiled Forest Hike & Fruit Picking
Join us for a fantastic Sunday morning combining a scenic nature hike, a social outdoor breakfast, and seasonal fruit picking! This event is a wonderful opportunity to explore one of the region’s finest natural landscapes, meet new people, and bring home some fresh, locally grown produce.
- Date: This Sunday; 19.07.26
- Meeting Time: 6:30 AM sharp
- Meeting Point: Woodside Green Laybys (Postcode: CM22 7UL)
- Hike Distance: 4.2 miles (approx. 6.7 km) – Easy, flat terrain
The ItineraryHatfield Forest is a remarkably well-preserved ancient Royal Hunting Forest, featuring 1,000-year-old oak trees, open plains, and a stunning Georgian lake. Arriving early gives us the best chance to spot the resident wild fallow deer herd grazing in the morning mist.
Before heading to the farm, we will gather near the green for an outdoor breakfast picnic. Please note this is a Bring Your Own breakfast event. Remember to pack your own morning flask, cold drinks, sandwiches, or pastries, along with a picnic blanket or outdoor mat to sit on.
Following our picnic, we will take a short 10-minute drive down the road to the beautiful Cammas Hall Farm. Here, you will have the opportunity to pick your own ultra-fresh fruit straight from the fields. Depending on seasonal availability, crops typically include strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Booking essential
